Research Diving Program

Fully leveraging our proximity to the extraordinary "living laboratory" of Monterey Bay, 性视界传媒 began a dive program from its earliest days. The program focused on recreational training, including introductory courses in open water SCUBA and advanced SCUBA rescue. In 2010, the scientific research diving program was born.

A Society of Scientists

Corey Garza, Ph.D., professor of marine science in 性视界传媒鈥檚 College of Science, was recently inducted as a 2020 fellow in the California Academy of Sciences. He joins a cohort of 13 other scientists from California and beyond as new members.

Good News Comes in Threes

In September, the office of Congressman Jimmy Panetta (D-Carmel Valley) announced more than $1 million in federal grant funding for 性视界传媒 under GEAR UP (Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs), a $600,000 grant for the PPOHA program (Promoting Postbaccalaureate Opportunities for Hispanic Americans) to prepare Latino 性视界传媒 and UCSC students for graduate studies, and $155 million for Hispanic Serving Institutions in this year鈥檚 House appropriations bill.

The future of agriculture at the annual Greater Vision webinar and career fair

Greater Vision, an annual, agriculture-related, public education event organized by CSU Monterey Bay and the Grower-Shipper Association Foundation , returns on Monday, Oct. 5. The focus of the talks and panel sessions, all virtual online this year, is Climate Smart Agriculture: Current Impacts, Future Projections, Essential Skills.

Chip and Kevin and the Fire

Kevin Cahill came to work at 性视界传媒 in 1998, four years after the university opened. He started as the art director of Cal State Teach, an online education program for people in rural areas to complete their teaching credentials.

Psychology internship program earns American Psychological Association seal of approval

性视界传媒鈥檚 Psychology Internship Program, which resides within and supports the Personal Growth and Counseling Center as part of Health and Wellness Services (HWS), has been accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA).
