Irene Moreno Gutierrez is a recent graduate of ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s M.S. Speech-Language Pathology program. She began her academic journey at Allan Hancock College before continuing her studies at San Diego State University. As a first-generation college student and second-generation immigrant, Irene is passionate about ensuring that everyone has a voice, regardless of their background, communication needs, or differences. At ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, she found a supportive community of mentors and professors who helped her navigate the field as a neurodivergent learner. Irene believes that if students have the ganas — the drive — to create change, ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s SLP program is a meaningful place to begin.
