Teaching Cooperatives and Communities of Practice
Teaching Cooperatives - Fall 2026
These faculty-led co-ops offer an opportunity to innovate pedagogy and other practices by exploring shared interests with colleagues. They include many new topics related to emerging issues; allow for multi-semester discussion, application, and further research; and build and leverage faculty leadership and expertise.
The following schedule outlines the Fall 2026 teaching cooperatives, including Communities of Practice, Discussion Groups, and ULO Scholar meetings.

ULO Coordinator Topic Descriptions
|
ULO Topic |
Description |
|
ULO1-Oral Communication (GE A1) |
For Fall 2026, we will review the survey data we collected in Spring 2025 and compile suggestions for improving oral communication instruction, and perhaps assessment, at 性视界传媒. |
|
ULO1-Written Communication (GE A2) |
For Fall 26, our group will review the survey data we collected in Spring 25 (and potentially re-launch the survey to collect more data), then build from there. We hope to build a collection of Writing and AI faculty resources that might include assignment ideas (AI-free), sample prompts, lesson-planning supports, time-saving workflows, classroom integration strategies, and policies and guidelines. |
|
ULO1-Critical Thinking (GE A3) |
In Fall 2026, the group will 1) continue working on a student survey regarding understanding of, and attitudes towards, CT and the teaching thereof, and 2) make minor adjustments to the rubric's language. |
|
ULO1-Information Literacy |
Faculty scholars will review the summer assessment results and create teaching and learning materials to address students' areas of challenge. |
|
ULO1-Quantitative Reasoning |
In the fall, we will review the summer assessment results and generate a faculty resource report. |
|
ULO2-Personal, Professional, and Social Responsibility |
TBD |

ULO3-Integrative Knowledge |
