SEASIDE, Calif., October 24, 2019 – California State University, Monterey Bay (ÐÔÊӽ紫ý) will host a series of Dia de Los Muertos events on Friday, November 1, 2019. The events, free and open to the public, will be offered on ÐÔÊӽ紫ý's main campus and at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý's Center for Arts and Culture located at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý at Salinas City Center.

SEASIDE, Calif., October 23, 2019 – California State University, Monterey Bay (ÐÔÊӽ紫ý) welcomed the Honorable Consul General Alejandra Maria Gabriela Bologna from the Mexican Consulate in San Jose to campus this week to learn about the current projects and partnerships ÐÔÊӽ紫ý has in Mexico.

SEASIDE, Calif., May 28, 2019 – Excelencia in ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, a national nonprofit dedicated to accelerating Latino student success, has selected California State University, Monterey Bay (ÐÔÊӽ紫ý) as a finalist to receive the Seal of Excelencia, honoring ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s efforts to serve Latino students.

SEASIDE, Ca., June 18, 2018 – California State University, Monterey Bay (ÐÔÊӽ紫ý) has officially welcomed Brian Corpening to serve as ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s new chief diversity officer as of June 18, 2018. Corpening, who has served as the assistant provost for diversity & community partnerships at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center since 2006, will oversee ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s Office of Inclusive Excellence.

SEASIDE, Ca., March 29, 2018 -- ÐÔÊӽ紫ý President Eduardo M. Ochoa hosted a facilitated dialogue at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý at Salinas City Center on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 from 5:30-7 p.m. to discuss the issue of immigration in the United States. The event featured Dan Torres, Director of Immigrant Integration from the Office of Governor Edmund G. Brown Jr. and professor David R. Henderson from the Naval Postgraduate School.

SEASIDE, Ca., January 26, 2018 – A new exhibition, “LOST CHILDHOODS: Unofficial stories,” opens February 2, 2018 at the California State University, Monterey Bay (ÐÔÊӽ紫ý) Salinas Center for Arts and Culture from 5-9 p.m. The event, free and open to the public, is presented by Foster Youth Museum and ÐÔÊӽ紫ý, while the opening is hosted by the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý Guardian Scholars program.

SEASIDE, Ca., Oct. 30, 2017 – California State University Monterey Bay’s (ÐÔÊӽ紫ý) Native Advisory Council (NAC) will host the third annual Native American gathering at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2017. The gathering, taking place on the land of the local Ohlone/Costanoan-Esselen Nation, is held in recognition and celebration of our Native American students and is the only event of its type on the Central Coast.

In order for this technology to evolve, you need to expose the future developers, the students who could someday conceptualize and create VR applications.
