ÐÔÊӽ紫ý is overwhelmed and grateful to the community for their generous donations, exceeding our fundraising goals. The university launched the first-ever comprehensive campaign in July 2015 and the public phase of the Vision 2020 campaign last May with a stretch goal of reaching $100 million in donations. The campaign concluded on Dec. 31, 2020, achieving $100,822,500 in philanthropic commitments.

President Eduardo M. Ochoa sent this statement to all students, faculty, and staff on Jan. 8, 2021.

As COVID-19 continues to affect people across the nation, ÐÔÊӽ紫ý understands that prospective students are facing unprecedented challenges.

The ÐÔÊӽ紫ý campus will close for the holiday/winter break on Thursday, Dec. 24. It will reopen on Monday, Jan. 4, 2021, in the same pandemic-restricted limited capacity as the Fall 2020 semester.

While COVID-19 continues to spread distress across the country, and California is experiencing another surge of positive cases, the tide is also changing in the course of the pandemic.

Just a few years after its founding in 1994, CSU Monterey Bay began a holiday tradition of partnering with non-profit organizations in the community and donating gifts to families in need. The coronavirus pandemic threatened to derail the beloved tradition this year, but the spirit of giving prevailed.

CSU, Monterey Bay campus, is closed from Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2019 through Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2020.

The California State University (CSU) is planning to return to in-person instruction for Fall 2021.

The Women's Leadership Council's annual fundraiser luncheon has had to transform into a completely virtual format, in this case through pre-recorded video edited into a cohesive program of thanks and gratitude. It’s viewable on the WLC web page.
