The Institute for Innovation and Economic Development (iiED) at ÐÔÊӽ紫ý’s College of Business held the final round of the 11th Annual Startup Challenge Monterey Bay in May. Contestants competed online this year because of COVID-19, with 30 teams of entrepreneurs vying to be champions in four divisions.

The Koret Foundation, a Jewish philanthropic organization based in San Francisco, has donated $1.63 million to CSU Monterey Bay. The funds will be distributed over five years to be used for: supporting students to complete their college studies in four years, providing impactful research opportunities for first-generation scholars, and preparing young people for community and national leadership roles, a news release said.

Health and Wellness Services (HWS) at CSU Monterey Bay — the Campus Health Center, the Personal Growth and Counseling Center, and Student Disability and Accessibility Center (SDAC) — strives to help members of the ÐÔÊӽ紫ý community achieve and maintain physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness.
